1. POSITION
He is nominated by the Head Office Project Control Division Manager and remains part of the Project Control Division throughout his assignment.
The H.O. project Control Division Manager informs the Project Manager accordingly.
He is linked to the Site Manager on Site to whom he reports operationally and from whom he receives instructions and objectives.
He has at his disposal a job site team and logistic resources suitable for his job.
Depending of the Project Size, he is helped by the following discipline Managers :
Planning, Scheduling and Progress Reporting Manager
Cost Control Manager
Subcontract Administration Manager
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
He has the overall responsibility for
a. managing all Construction scheduling and progress activities at Site in compliance with the company rules and procedures, and the instructions and orders received from the Site Manager.
b. implementing on site a comprehensive cost control system including reporting of all costs (construction costs, supervision, temporary facilities, running costs, etc ).
c. the administration of the Construction Subcontracts for all costs and contractual matters. (QS, MTO's, work orders, sub-let subcontracts, )
By delegation of the Site Manager he liaises with Client for all matters related to Planning and Cost.
3. TASKS
Coordinate the different actions of the Planning, Scheduling and Progress Reporting Manager, the Cost Control Manager and the Subcontracts Administration Manager and ensure that these actions comply with the Contract, the Project Execution Plan and the Construction Execution Plan
Verify that procedures related to Scheduling, Progress Reporting, Cost Control and Subcontract Administration are implemented
Issue and submit for approval by Site Manager the Site Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports
Issue and submit for approval by Site Manager internal CONTRACTOR cost reports,
Consolidate the account of works, extra-works and back-charges dossiers for Subcontractors / Vendors / Suppliers.
Consolidate the Change Order and Claims dossier for the Client
Participate to Site Weekly Meetings with Client
Issue feedbacks to H.O. Project Control Department
Issue the Final Cost Report.
